Manufacturing Manager
I. General Summary:
Manufacturing Manager- Responsible for supporting manufacturing activities through Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Production supervision and provides quality levels and service that exceed the customer’s expectations. Responsible for ensuring all key performance indicators (KPI) are met from plant operations including Manufacturing, Maintenance, Quality, Safety and Production functions. This is a second shift position.

II. Essential Job Function:
A. Plan, organize and direct phases of manufacturing and maintenance operations which ensure the most effective return on assets and at target performance levels.
B. Responsible for leading and directing Group Leaders to coordinate and ensure that all SAIA Team Member development plans are appropriately executed.
C. Ensure that proper shift-staffing, production plans, safety, quality and operating availability (OA) targets are met.
D. Report progress toward established goals daily, weekly, and monthly.
E. Communicate with other department manager about Safety, Quality, and Production.
F. Monitor employees’ work levels and review work performance.
G. Counsel team regarding about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job skill deficiencies.
H. Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports SAIA’s mission.
I. Maintain and administer compliance of SAIA’s Rules and Policies.
J. Ensure audits are completed (1-minute, Safety, Full Process)
K. Other duties as assigned.
III. Qualifications
Experience:
A. Minimum of (4) years automotive manufacturing environment.
B. Minimum of (2) years of leadership experience in a professional environment
Expectation to learn process knowledge with sign offs within 6 months.

Computer/Software:
Intermediate level of Microsoft Office, Including Word & Excel, is required.
IV. Work Environment:
Office : Open Office Environment, moderate noise level.
Plant : Standard automotive plant environment with moderate noise level. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, steel toe shoes, hearing protection, etc. may be required in engineering, manufacturing, or industrial areas. Personal attire standards may apply.
Travel : Must be willing to travel up to 15%.
Hours: 7 pm to 3:45 am, unless there is overtime.
V. Physical Demands:
While preforming duties of this job, the Manufacturing Manager is required to talk, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing for extended periods of time and is occasionally required to lift to 30 pounds.
