Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Construction Installer is responsible for the installation, assembly, and modification of commercial refrigeration systems and related structural components. This position involves both on-site installation and shop fabrication, including welding, cutting, and fitting of metal materials to meet project specifications and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Actively participating in daily operations, and a readiness to perform hands-on tasks when needed.
- Install, assemble, and secure refrigeration system components, including piping, support frames, and panels.
- Perform welding (MIG, TIG, and/or stick) and cutting on steel, aluminum, and stainless materials as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and installation plans.
- Measure and align components to ensure proper fit and function.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with layout, fabrication, and modification of metal parts or assemblies.
- Work with team members to ensure installations are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Inspect and test completed installations for quality assurance and adherence to company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned that are specific to TDI Refrigeration operations or related company programs.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in construction installation, welding, or fabrication.
- Proficiency in MIG and/or TIG welding; valid welding certification preferred.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction and fabrication blueprints.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
