The Finisher will be responsible for finishing metal parts and grates that are manufactured in the Metals Shop. This is an onsite position within a warehouse-type work environment.
Monday-Thursday: 6am - 4:30pm
Friday: 6am-2:30pm
Responsibilities:
· Maintain a safe work environment with a “safety first” mindset
· Follow all safety processes and procedures
· Perform daily and repetitive hand finishing operations
· Able to operate a sandblasting booth
· Maintain the desired level of quality required for satisfactory production output
· Assist in the operation of the powder coating machine (loading, operating and unloading)
· Other duties as assigned, such as minor maintenance tasks
Qualifications:
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Must pass a drug screen and background check
· Must be authorized to work in the United States
Education:
· High school diploma or GED preferred
Supervisory requirements:
· None
Competencies:
· Ability to use a variety of hand tools
· Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16"
· Understand work instructions as delivered by Manager
· Ability to withstand extreme temperatures (hot and cold) and outside elements
· Ability to stand/walk/crouch/bend frequently throughout entire shift, up to 10 hours
· Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
· Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a steady state of output
· Must have an eye for detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
