Duties
- Implement individualized ABA therapy protocols designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) to promote skill acquisition and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, and hygiene, to support independence.
- Collect and record behavioral data accurately during therapy sessions to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments.
- Support clients in educational settings by applying special education strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate regularly with clients’ families and team members to provide updates on progress and address concerns professionally.
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all ethical guidelines, including the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code for Behavior Analysts.
Requirements
- Valid RBT certification or eligibility to obtain certification through completing required training hours.
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism spectrum disorders.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles, behavior management strategies, and data collection methods.
- Ability to assist with ADLs and implement behavior therapy techniques effectively in home-based or clinical settings.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation standards such as HIPAA compliance.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and family engagement.
- Prior experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities is highly preferred.
