Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and monitoring vital signs with precision and compassion.
- Administer first aid and basic life support (CPR) as needed during emergencies to stabilize patients promptly.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Follow established health regulation policies and procedures to ensure safety standards are consistently met across all patient interactions.
- Educate patients on health management, medication protocols, and post-treatment care plans to promote recovery and wellness.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care plans, ensuring seamless communication and optimal outcomes.
- Stay updated on physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and acute care practices to provide evidence-based nursing services.
Requirements
- Valid nursing license with current registration; previous nursing leadership experience is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in acute care settings with a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology.
- Demonstrated proficiency in medical documentation, medical records management, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of health regulation policies such as HIPAA and compliance standards related to patient privacy and safety.
- Certifications in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), basic life support (BLS), and first aid are essential.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and the use of EMR/EHR platforms for efficient record keeping.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
