Here at Creative Beginnings Childcare Center, we feel a child-centered approach is the most effective way for teaching young children. We incorporate natural surroundings into our classrooms and encourage social interaction among children. The staff at out center is caring, well educated, and fosters the idea that the well being and creative progress of each child is most significant.
We are looking to add caring, enthusiastic, and energetic teachers for our Preschool and Infant classrooms. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30-5 and looking to fill a 40 hour per week position with an hour break each day. We have a large Preschool classroom of 16, 3 and 4 year old children with 2 teachers! And 2 Infant classrooms of 8 babies with 2 teachers! We are hoping to add individuals that have a passion for working with young children! A Degree in the field of education would be great but 2+ years of classroom experience is required for these positions. Starting out you are given 14 Paid Holidays and 3 weeks paid vacation :-) You will also receive a monthly State of Maine bonus. Depending on your level in MRTQ you can get $240, $360 or $540! After your first year with us you earn an additional 5 PTO days, totaling 4 weeks. We are Closed the Weeks of Christmas break, February break, April break. We offer great Dental packages as well as 401K plans after 6 months with our company!
Creative Beginnings teachers are handpicked for their expertise in child development, as well as their ability to work well with all families. Our center is a place the children can consider their home away from home, a place where they are all loved and accepted equally, and where their laughter and play are cherished.
Responsibilities include:
-Planning and facilitating daily lessons and circle time
-Planning and executing fun, educational, and engaging projects
-Overseeing meal and snack time
-Communicating with co-teachers
-Communicating with families
-Supervising and engaging in playground time
A degree in education or related field is preferred but not a requirement at this time. Experience in an early childhood setting is a must.
