Purpose and Scope:
To assist the Studio Technical Supervisor and Senior Content Producer in the operation of GHS-TV studios and the production of video presentations designed for Memphis Shelby County Schools.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operates complex video and audio equipment

Performs editing procedures

Prepares videotaped programs and events for broadcast

Assists in the production or programming for Memphis Shelby County Schools and Germantown High School television station

Transports video and audio equipment to various sites for purpose of filming

Supervises and coordinates some of GHS-TV?s special events both on and off campus

Manage and supervise some tapings and edits of special original programming and ensure quality before programming airs

May use computer applications software in the performance of the job

Mentors and trains students on proper techniques and procedures for video production

Researches new ways and new equipment to streamline workflow and improve production

Implements new equipment and processes and trains students in these processes and the use of equipment

Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Executive Producer may assign.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study, plus an additional two (2) years related experience, for a total education/experience of six (6) years. Three (3) years of successful writing/reporting experience in a television studio, newsroom or public relations/communication position preferred.
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor's Degree= 4 years plus required years of experience. Master's Degree= 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master's degrees are required, years for Bachelor's Degrees must be included.
