Shift: Rotating Shift 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembler I to join our manufacturing team in Pomona, CA. This position supports the production of laboratory reagents through filling, packaging, assembly, and equipment setup while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in reagent filling, packaging, or manufacturing within a pharmaceutical, medical device, or food production environment. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting, standing throughout the shift, and completing detailed documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Masterflex filling equipment according to established work instructions and volume specifications.
- Perform filling, assembly, labeling, and packaging of reagents following approved procedures and GMP guidelines.
- Complete production paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
- Read and follow work orders, manufacturing instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform line clearance, equipment setup, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping activities.
- Assemble, inspect, test, and package products following written instructions.
- Assist Engineering and Maintenance with equipment troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs as needed.
- Clean and perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Dispose of hazardous waste in designated areas according to company procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and operational efficiency projects.
- Assist with new equipment installation and validation activities.
- Participate in problem-solving and corrective action activities related to product quality.
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, GMP, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, assembly, filling, or packaging.
- Experience filling and packaging reagents is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and follow work orders and written manufacturing instructions.
- Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills, including minimal Microsoft Excel experience.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine manufacturing processes using established procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred.
- Medical device manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
- Food manufacturing experience will also be considered.
- Familiarity with FDA, ISO, OSHA, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing documentation, compliance, inventory control, and production scheduling.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the entire shift.
- Rotate between multiple production tasks during the day.
- Lift up to 15 pounds.
- Perform repetitive hand movements and detailed assembly work.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing environment with established quality and safety procedures.
- Documentation is primarily paper-based rather than electronic.
- Work requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to procedures.
