Lead Projects That Restore. Build a Career That Endures.
At Eleven Engineering, our work goes beyond construction — we remediate contaminated sites, protect waterways, and leave land better than we found it. As a general engineering contractor specializing in environmental remediation and earthwork, we take on complex, high-impact projects that demand skilled, experienced leadership.
We've been voted one of the North Bay's Best Places to Work for eight consecutive years by our own team — because we invest in our people just as much as our projects. Now, we're looking for a talented Project Manager to take the reins on challenging environmental construction work across the region.
What You'll Do
As Project Manager, you'll be the central hub of project success — bridging field operations, client relationships, financial performance, and team development. Your day-to-day will include:
- Drive project performance. Lead all aspects of field operations for environmental remediation and earthwork projects, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Think strategically, act tactically. Connect Eleven Engineering's company goals to the daily realities of your projects — from initial development through final closeout
- Put safety first. Champion and maintain the company's behavioral health and safety programs across all assigned projects within your region
- Lead the full project lifecycle. Direct execution from pre-bid and proposal preparation through project start-up, contract management, resource allocation, cost controls, material buy-out, subcontractor management, cash flow oversight, and change order negotiations
- Keep the data flowing. Use project control tools to track and report daily progress accurately, compile project status reports, and keep all stakeholders informed of milestones and results
- Forecast with confidence. Analyze physical and financial project data to produce timely, accurate forecasts supporting performance reports — including projected completion dates and financial outcomes
- Build lasting client relationships. Foster strong partnerships with clients to encourage cooperation, prompt payments, and ongoing business opportunities
- Mentor and motivate. Coach your project teams to uphold high standards of safety, quality control, and productivity throughout every phase of work
- Own the billing cycle. Generate, prepare, and submit invoices per contract terms; actively monitor payment status and follow up on any late or partial payments
- Pursue new business. Perform construction estimating for both new opportunities and project change orders
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of education and environmental remediation construction experience in a leadership role
- Experience: 10+ years managing construction projects in areas such as soil treatment and stabilization, waterway remediation, groundwater treatment, site preparation, excavation, and/or earthwork
- Proven growth: A career that demonstrates progressive increases in financial responsibility and supervisory accountability, with a strong track record of hitting company goals
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project)
- Independence: Ability to thrive with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, ever-evolving work environment
- Field readiness: Comfortable performing work in outdoor construction environments, including exposure to dust, noise, and inclement weather
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to and work from project sites as needed to manage day-to-day operations
