SUMMARY:
Shipping and Receiving Associate needed. Mon-Fri 8:00- 4:30 PM. Must have valid drivers license with no driving infractions in the last three years. Must be able to travel to South Carolina, and Georgia on occasion to fill in (company vehicle provided).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive merchandise, stage, and putaway
- Work on kitting orders
- Operate warehouse equipment including sit down and stand up forklift, and walking electric jack.
- Verify the accuracy of inbound and outbound orders staged on the receiving dock and in the storage location, along with the supporting documentation.
- Send the required documents to the operations team to unload and receive the load.
- Verify the receipt and associated documents for accuracy and enter the data into the WMS. Print the put sheet and send it to the operations floor to be checked for accuracy. Make any adjustments to the receipt if noted and forward the receiving package to the appropriate Client Support Representative.
- Based on the WMS Report, print pick tickets scheduled to ship today, breakdown the document and attach the pallet labels. Send the order to the operations floor for picking.
- Print or match the client provided bill of lading, stamp the freight bill and complete the stamp, create or attach the load sheet, and hold until the appointed carrier arrives for pick-u
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of general business computers and software and the aptitude to learn new software applications.
- Demonstrated basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide three-digit numbers.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3 Years shipping and receiving experience.
- Proficiency at Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook,
- Prior forklift experience preferred
- Great communications skill both written and verbal
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires visual acuity to read and type words and numbers and speaking and hearing abilities to sufficiently communicate in person or over the telephone.
- Must be able to operate computer keyboard, and other required office equipment.
- Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary.
- Must be able to work in the shipping and receiving areas to adequately provide client support.
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. occasionally).
- Warehouse is not climate controlled
