Quality Assurance Inspector
JOB SUMMERY
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Metrology Inspector to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting dimensional inspections on a variety of aerospace components and assemblies using metrology equipment. You will ensure that products meet specified requirements, as well as support continuous improvement efforts to enhance the quality of our products.
Responsibilities:
- Perform dimensional inspections on aerospace components and assemblies using metrology equipment, including coordinate measuring machines (CMM), micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Analyze inspection results and provide feedback to production, engineering, and quality control departments.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure that inspection data is properly documented and stored.
- Stay current with new inspection technologies and techniques and recommend improvements to the inspection process.
- Conduct training sessions for other inspectors, as needed.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance the quality of our products.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent in a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in metrology inspection, with a focus on aerospace components.
- Comprehensive knowledge of metrology inspection techniques and equipment, including CMM and micrometer usage.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and inspection data management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
