Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated In-House Hospitality Health Code Trainer to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive health and safety training programs within our hospitality environment. Responsibilities
- Design, deliver, and evaluate training sessions on health codes, HIPAA regulations, FDA guidelines, and other relevant healthcare compliance standards.
- Develop training materials aligned with accreditation standards such as JCAHO and CMS regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Conduct regular audits of health practices within the hospitality setting to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements.
- Collaborate with management to update policies related to healthcare regulation policy knowledge, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Lead team training initiatives on EMR/EHR systems, CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and data analysis tools to support accurate documentation and reporting.
- Stay current on healthcare laws including medical law and Medicare regulations to ensure organizational adherence.
- Facilitate continuous improvement projects aimed at elevating service quality, reducing risks, and maintaining regulatory accreditation standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in healthcare compliance management, quality assurance, or related roles within a hospitality or healthcare setting.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA privacy rules, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, FDA regulations, CMS guidelines, and JCAHO accreditation standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with EMR/EHR management systems.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead process improvements and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Knowledge of healthcare legal frameworks including medical law and Medicare policies.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in team training and development.
- Data analysis skills for monitoring compliance metrics and identifying trends for quality enhancement.
