POSITION INFORMATION:
Location: Special Education Department
Supervisor: Special Education Coordinators
Employment Period: 12 Months
Employment Status: Full-time
Salary Range: $17.18-$28.05 /hour
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing administrative clerical support to Special Education Coordinators and other identified special education staff.

Performs a variety of administrative and/or clerical support functions for the operation of the department.

Maintains and uses information in databases and maintains accurate records

Works cooperatively, effectively and professionally with Director, Coordinators, Administrators, Parents/Guardians, and general public.

Maintains confidentiality of student and program information.

Possess physical dexterity to perform assigned tasks.

Plans and arranges conferences/meetings under general guidance from coordinators or assigned staff.

Prepares correspondence, reports or other documents from rough draft/notes; corrects grammar, spelling and punctuation errors; edits wording without changing intended message.

Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of high school diploma or equivalent. Some business school training or completion of two years of college, or any equivalent combination of experience and training is preferred.

Three to five years of work experience in an office environment (for external candidates only); experience in a school is preferred.

Thorough knowledge of standard office procedures, practices and equipment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Must possess excellent typing and strong editing skills and have the ability to handle details accurately.

Proficiency in Google Sites.
