Join our dynamic culinary team as a Sous Chef, where your passion for food and leadership will elevate our kitchen operations to new heights. In this vital role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen activities, ensuring exceptional food quality, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient work environment. Your expertise in fine dining, food production, and team management will be instrumental in delivering memorable dining experiences for our guests. Duties:
- Assist the Executive Chef in supervising kitchen staff, ensuring smooth shift operations and high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Lead food production efforts, including menu planning, recipe development, and ensuring consistency across all dishes served
- Oversee food safety practices and ensure compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards
- Manage inventory control and ordering to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste
- Coordinate catering and banquet services, ensuring timely and flawless execution of large-scale events
- Support kitchen management tasks such as shift scheduling, training new team members, and maintaining a positive team environment
- Ensure excellent food handling procedures are followed during all stages of food service and preparation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in casual dining environments with a strong background in food production and kitchen management
- Demonstrated supervisory experience leading culinary teams effectively
- Knowledge of dietary department operations and catering services is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with inventory management, food safety protocols, and food handling standards
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams under pressure
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff, vendors, and other departments
- Culinary experience including menu planning, cooking techniques, and restaurant operations is essential
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards such as shift management, food service management, and restaurant experience
- Additional skills in bartending or beverage service are considered a plus
