Axle Informatics is seeking an Operations Coordinator to provide administrative and logistical support to the Office of Cancer Clinical Proteomics Research (OCCPR) within NCI's Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis (DCTD). In this role, you'll keep the office running: coordinating travel and meeting logistics, managing documents and databases, and acting as a point of contact between scientific staff, management, and administrative teams. This work directly supports federally funded cancer research and helps ensure OCCPR operates efficiently and in compliance with federal and agency policy.
Review and process requests for systems such as GovTrip, POTS, NIHITS, NED, and ITAS.
Maintain staff calendars, schedule appointments, and arrange attendance at conferences and meetings.
Plan, coordinate, and manage logistics for domestic and international travel, including outside and sponsored activities.
Coordinate, prepare, and edit documents for submission to the Office of the Director, including scientific publications.
Maintain databases for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on professional activities, travel, and project management.
Track assigned projects and correspondence to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
Coordinate signatures and review for time-sensitive, confidential documents such as grant proposals, licensure reimbursement requests, and memoranda of understanding.
Gather, review, and summarize information and data; support data entry and file maintenance.
Maintain OCCPR's electronic mailing list (listserv).
Prepare letters, memoranda, reports, schedules, agendas, manuscripts, abstracts, and graphs, obtaining clearances as needed.
Support staff in preparing materials for reports, presentations, and speeches, including logistics for presentations.
Help plan scientific meetings, including coordinating with distinguished lecturers, invited guests, and participants, and managing registration and meeting logistics.
Schedule and organize meetings; help identify key issues, develop agendas, and prepare background materials.
Provide guidance to staff on relevant federal guidelines and procedures.
Support inventory, purchase requests, and general property management.
Research and recommend improvements to administrative procedures.
