Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Control Field Technician to join our Quality Control team. In this vital role, you will perform on-site testing and inspection of concrete and raw materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and testing of concrete to verify adherence to project specifications and industry standards like ASTM, and ACI.
- Collect and analyze data related to material properties, ensuring accuracy and consistency in testing procedures.
- Perform quality control assessments during construction activities, including concrete forming, construction site inspection, and construction materials testing.
- Maintain detailed records of test results, inspection reports, and data logs using Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Communicate findings clearly with project managers, contractors, and clients to facilitate timely decision-making and ensure compliance.
- Assist in the development and review of contracts related to construction inspection services.
- Support outdoor work activities across various construction sites while adhering to safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven laboratory experience or hands-on experience with construction materials testing in a field environment.
- Strong knowledge of ASTM standards for concrete and materials testing as well as ACI and ASTM.
- Familiarity with construction site operations including concrete testing, raw materials testing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for data collection, report writing, and record keeping.
- Basic math skills combined with good numeracy for precise measurements and calculations during testing procedures.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret test results accurately and identify potential issues promptly.
- Prior outdoor work experience on construction sites is highly desirable.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members regarding technical findings.
- Construction experience involving cylinders and curing and testing
