Mechanic 3 | 8 Hours | 12 Month Calendar

GENERAL DUTIES:
Investigate vehicle problems and perform skilled repairs to District vehicles. Coordinate the work of other mechanics to complete maintenance projects.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or its equivalent
-
Proficient oral and written communication skills in English

Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications

Hold a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a valid Oregon School Bus Driver’s Certificate or be able to obtain both within 60 days
-
Hold an Oregon Department of Education Technician Certification, or be able to obtain one within six months

Hold a DEQ Certification, or be able to obtain it within nine months
-
Three years of experience maintaining and repairing large vehicle engines
-
Pass a pre-employment drug test
