Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to nurture and guide infants through four-year-olds in a vibrant early childhood education setting. As the Lead Teacher, you will create a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that fosters curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and care to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your classroom at all times.
- Foster positive behavior management strategies to encourage cooperation, independence, and social skills among young children.
- Maintain open, transparent communication with parents regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns.
- Assist in classroom activities that stimulate learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid, CPR certification, and mandated reporting laws.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children aged birth to four years old in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development instruction, early childhood education principles, and classroom management techniques.
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with children with disabilities are a plus.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and experience implementing them effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration.
- Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality regarding children's records.
- Prior experience with classroom experience, daycare center operations, nannying or babysitting is highly valued.
