Role Description
ZSI Group is hiring security staff for ongoing assignments throughout Santa Barbara. Depending on availability and preference, agents may be placed at a fixed post, such as a cultural center or venue operating on standard business hours, or assigned to event-based work, including concerts, galas, and weekend or evening functions.
Responsibilities include maintaining assigned posts, access control, crowd monitoring, incident reporting, and coordinating with the ZSI operations team throughout each deployment. Agents who perform well will be considered for continued placements and long-term work with a firm that has been in the business for over 25 years.
Who We're Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals of all backgrounds, including veterans, active reservists, former law enforcement, retirees, and students seeking part-time work. A valid California BSIS Security Guard Card is advantageous, as are additional certifications such as First Aid/CPR; however, training is provided for candidates who do not yet hold these credentials. Basic English proficiency, strong customer service skills, and sound de-escalation ability are required.
Compensation
Competitive hourly rate, above California market average. Disclosed to selected candidates during the review process.
