Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with brick, block, and stone materials to build, repair, and restore structures. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, prepare materials, maintain quality workmanship, and follow all safety standards on the job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and construct structures using brick, block, stone, and other masonry materials.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, diagrams, and specifications.
- Mix mortar, prepare surfaces, and cut materials using hand and power tools.
- Repair and restore damaged masonry, including brickwork, stone replacement, and mortar joint repointing.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards, building codes, and project specifications.
- Follow OSHA regulations and job site safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials on a regular basis.
- Capable of standing, kneeling, bending, and working in physically demanding environments for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely operate masonry tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Mason or in a related masonry construction role required.
- Experience working with brick, block, stone, and mortar applications.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
- Knowledge of masonry repair, restoration, and quality control practices.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and construction site protocols.
