Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for three-year-olds
- Facilitate engaging lessons focused on literacy education, early intervention strategies, and foundational math skills using innovative methods
- Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment
- Conduct regular assessments of child development progress, including standardized testing when applicable, and adapt instruction accordingly
- Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address individual needs, and support their welfare in accordance with mandated reporting laws
- Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student observations, and classroom activities to support ongoing development and compliance requirements
- Incorporate physical education activities and promote overall child welfare through active engagement and health-conscious practices
Skills
- Extensive experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom management skills
- Proficiency in curriculum development tailored to toddler care, childhood development principles, and literacy education techniques
- Knowledge of special education needs, early intervention methods, and behavior management strategies for diverse learners
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with families, colleagues, and community partners
- Ability to implement child development instruction that supports physical activity, social-emotional growth, and cognitive skills
- Experience with classroom experience including daycare or private school environments; familiarity with preschool teaching standards is preferred
