We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to join the team! The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who will be the first point of contact for visitors at the office, greeting them in a polite and well-spoken manner.
Long term contract (minimum of 5 months with the potential to go perm)
Hours are M-F 9-4
Pay will be $25-27/hour
Receptionist Duties:
Office Presence & Front Contact
- Be consistently present in the office and available as the main point of contact.
- Serve as the first contact for vendors, members, clients, and the landlord.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day communication and coordination.
Office & Workplace Management
- Oversee interns and support daily office activities.
- Ensure the office is clean, presentable, and well maintained at all times.
- Manage office and kitchen supplies and restock as needed.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and functional.
Boardroom & Visitor Support
- Manage boardroom setup and meeting readiness.
- Organize breakfast or catering for small visiting groups.
- Support meetings in the background (e.g., preparing coffee, ensuring setup runs smoothly).
Mail, Phone & General Administration
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring proper distribution.
- Answer the main phone line, take messages, and ensure follow-ups.
- Validate parking tickets as needed.
Employee Setup & IT Coordination
- Prepare clean and ready workspaces for new employees.
- Ensure laptops and access badges are available on day one.
- Support coordination with remote IT services, especially for new hires.
Basic Finance & Admin Support
- Some bookkeeping knowledge is desirable.
- Create and manage expense reports using Expensify.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or relevant work experience
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
