Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chiller Technician to service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial chiller systems throughout the Phoenix market. This role is responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and efficiency of critical cooling systems while providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience working with centrifugal, screw, scroll, and air-cooled chiller systems in commercial, healthcare, industrial, and mission-critical environments. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert for complex HVAC equipment and play a key role in maintaining vital building operations for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial chiller systems

Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and performance testing on water-cooled and air-cooled chillers

Service centrifugal, screw, scroll, and reciprocating chiller equipment

Inspect and maintain associated systems including cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, controls, and variable frequency drives

Analyze equipment performance data and identify opportunities to improve system efficiency and reliability

Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and control-related issues

Perform refrigerant recovery, leak detection, charging, and system startups

Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, sequence of operations, and manufacturer documentation
Qualifications
-
5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
-
3+ years of hands-on chiller service, maintenance, and repair experience
-
Strong knowledge of centrifugal, screw, scroll, and air-cooled chiller systems

Experience troubleshooting electrical, refrigeration, mechanical, and controls systems

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals

Knowledge of chilled water systems, cooling towers, pumps, and associated equipment

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred
-
5+ years of commercial HVAC or chiller service experience

Manufacturer training or certifications from Trane, Carrier, York, Daikin, Mitsubishi, or similar OEMs

Experience supporting healthcare, manufacturing, data center, mission-critical, or industrial facilities

Strong understanding of building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC controls

Experience with centrifugal chiller overhauls and major repairs

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Experience with vibration analysis, oil analysis, and advanced chiller diagnostics
