Summary:
The Turbo Test Cell Technician will be integral member of our dynamic team and will be tasked with set up, operation, and tear down of multiple test cells. A large locomotive manufacturer has utilized our facility to test engine components to failure and will be repetitive and long term work for the test cell technician.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes and adheres to all company safety and operating policies.
- Read blueprints and job routers to obtain product specifications
- Perform daily set-ups with different styles of work-holding tools to test heavy industrial engine parts for customer reporting.
- Install cell piping, perform specialized leak checks, and monitor test with assistance from test engineering.
- Ability to apply mechanical aptitude will be helpful for this position.
- Assist team by completing appropriate test recording and monitoring of equipment.
- Packaging and unloading of heavy parts utilizing fork lift/safety equipment is a requirement of this position
- Perform other duties as assigned by Aerodyn management team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of hands on type physical and manual dexterity skills
- Aerospace industry experience or electrical controls background is preferred.
- Familiarity with the capabilities/limitations of test cells and form/fit/function tests
- Organization and Cleanliness of Work Space
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time throughout the shift
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time throughout the shift
- Must be able to occasionally lift, move, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds
