Key Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate engaging youth development activities that promote leadership, social-emotional growth, teamwork, academic enrichment, and healthy lifestyles.
- Build positive relationships with youth and families while maintaining a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Provide family support by connecting participants and caregivers to resources, services, and program opportunities that strengthen family well-being.
- Utilize effective behavior management and group facilitation strategies to encourage participation, accountability, and personal growth.
- Conduct participant assessments, maintain accurate attendance records, complete data entry, and document program outcomes to support reporting and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a mentor and role model by supporting youth in developing life skills, confidence, and positive decision-making.
- Collaborate with families, community partners, and staff to support participant success and ensure participant safety by following program policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with youth in schools, after-school programs, camps, community organizations, or mentoring programs preferred.
- Knowledge of Positive Youth Development, social-emotional learning, and adolescent development.
- Strong communication, leadership, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
- Experience in sports, arts, STEM, workforce readiness, leadership development, or community engagement is a plus.

Experience
- Experience working with youth and families in schools, after-school programs, summer camps, community organizations, mentoring programs, or youth-serving agencies preferred.
- Knowledge of Positive Youth Development, social-emotional learning, adolescent development, and trauma-informed practices.
- Experience facilitating group activities, managing youth behavior, and creating engaging learning environments.
- Strong skills in data entry, documentation, participant assessments, and program reporting.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Experience supporting youth with diverse learning, behavioral, or developmental needs is a plus.
- Skills in sports, arts, STEM, workforce readiness, leadership development, community engagement, or recreation programming are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with youth, families, community partners, and team members.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
