We are seeking a conscientious second shift cleaner to join our team. Candidates must have reliable availability and a willingness to be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment. The ideal candidate would also be able to make our bulk batches of custard - ability and willingness to perform this additional duty would entitle candidates to higher pay rates.
Required Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as washing pans and other bakery equipment, mopping floors, etc.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to disposal area
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas including hallways and lobby
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed
- Follow proper procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and techniques
- Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Familiarity with using cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to safely lift and maneuver a hot pan weighing ~50 lbs (required for custard)
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Previous work as a porter or janitor in facilities maintenance
- Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures in a commercial setting
Second Shift Hours: (End times may vary)
Monday - Friday 1:00pm - 8:00pm (required)
Saturday 7:30 am - Noon (negotiable)
