Woodruff Contracting & Sales, LLC is looking to hire a Construction Foreman to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with strong commercial construction experience, solid general construction knowledge, and the ability to lead and coordinate work in the field.
The right candidate should be dependable, organized, professional, and able to communicate well with crews, subcontractors, vendors, and project managers. Previous foreman or management experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right person who has the commercial construction background, work ethic, and leadership potential.
Job Summary:
Woodruff Contracting & Sales, LLC performs mostly commercial construction projects, with occasional residential, municipal, and other general construction work. The Construction Foreman will help lead daily field operations, work alongside field crews as needed, coordinate laborers and subcontractors in the field, review plans and scopes of work, communicate jobsite needs or issues to the superintendent or project manager, and help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and with quality workmanship.
Responsibilities include:
Work alongside field crews as needed while also leading and coordinating daily jobsite activities
Oversee and assist with daily jobsite operations
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field crews
Help keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and according to schedule
Review project plans, scopes of work, and jobsite needs
Communicate job progress, issues, and material needs
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
Ensure quality workmanship and professional jobsite conduct
Assist with material coordination, deliveries, and daily field needs
Help enforce jobsite safety and company standards
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience required
General construction knowledge required
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver’s license required
Must be able to pass a background check
Must be able to pass a drug screen
Previous foreman or management experience is preferred but not required
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Ability to communicate professionally and work well with others
Ability to problem-solve and stay organized in a fast-paced jobsite environment
