Duties
- Assist physical therapists with patient intake, setup, and preparation for therapy sessions
- Support patient transfer methods using proper manual handling techniques to ensure safety and comfort
- Help maintain a clean, organized treatment area and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use
- Provide support during therapy exercises by demonstrating movements or assisting with mobility aids
- Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising therapist promptly
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times in accordance with privacy regulations
- Support administrative tasks such as documenting patient information, updating records, and scheduling appointments
Requirements
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and rehabilitation practices
- Demonstrated patient service skills with excellent client communication abilities
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely during patient transfers or equipment setup
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Familiarity with orthopedics, geriatrics, and outpatient therapy practices is preferred
- Strong attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality
- Previous experience practicing in a physical therapy or physiotherapy role is highly desirable

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
