Job Overview
All Valley Innovations Group (AVIG) is seeking an experienced and dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy construction equipment for land development, roadway construction, underground utilities, drainage, and site preparation projects. We are looking for individuals who take pride in producing quality work, prioritize safety, and thrive in a fast-paced construction environment.
Our company performs the majority of our work in-house using our own fleet of equipment, providing operators with consistent work and opportunities for growth.
Duties
- Safely operate heavy equipment including excavators, dozers, motor graders, loaders, rollers, skid steers, backhoes, and off-road haul trucks.
- Perform excavation, grading, trenching, site preparation, and earthwork according to project plans and grade stakes.
- Assist with installation of underground utilities including water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
- Perform finish grading for roads, building pads, detention ponds, and drainage structures.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs immediately.
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.
- Work closely with project managers, foremen, survey crews, and laborers to complete projects efficiently.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of heavy equipment operating experience (preferred).
- Experience in civil construction, land development, roadway, or utility projects.
- Ability to operate multiple types of heavy construction equipment.
- Ability to read grade stakes and follow construction plans.
- Strong understanding of excavation safety and underground utility installation.
- Valid Texas driver's license (CDL preferred but not required).
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor when needed.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
