Certified Wound Care Nurse (LVN or RN) for Weekends 8 hrs per day

Job Duties:
· Oversees the components of the facility Wound Care Program, including assessment, planning and intervention for residents with acute or chronic wounds.
· Provides education and preventive care to residents, families, and staff.
· Coordinates and supports the clinical aspects of direct resident needs related to wounds.
· Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to assess resident care needs for wound care.
· Coordinates, plans, implements and evaluates supplies, treatments, and pressure reducing/relief devices.
· Maintains knowledge of wound management and keeps abreast of current/new products and trends in wound care management.
· Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
· Evaluates staffing pattern needed to meet the needs of the residents in conjunction with the Director of Resident Care Services.
· Administers medication/treatments as prescribed.
· Receive, transcribe, implement physician’s orders.
· Implements and evaluates care plans.
· Identifies/secures equipment supplies
· Directs/oversees subordinates.
· Participates in duty assignments.
· Organizes/coordinates subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
· Oversees/monitors function and activities of subordinate staff.
· Evaluate staff performance and institutes appropriate action discipline/training.
· Monitors infection control compliance.
· Investigates/documents accidents/incidents.
Qualifications:
· Must have valid license and wound care certification
· Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
· Management/Supervisory experience required
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed
· Strong written and verbal skills required
· Timely documentation in electronic medical record

Pay: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour
