HealthPro Talent is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Endocrinologist to join a Diabetes & Cardiometabolic Health team focused on providing high-quality specialty care for patients living with diabetes, endocrine disorders, and chronic metabolic conditions.
The Endocrinologist will provide outpatient care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment while supporting the organization's mission of expanding access to equitable, patient-centered healthcare for underserved populations.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of endocrine disorders, including:
- Diabetes Mellitus
- Thyroid Disease
- Obesity
- Osteoporosis
- Adrenal Disorders
- Pituitary Disorders
- Lipid Disorders
- Other metabolic and endocrine conditions
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based clinical guidelines and patient-specific needs
- Manage obesity medicine, including pharmacologic therapy, lifestyle intervention counseling, and multidisciplinary weight management strategies
- Prescribe and manage medications, including insulin therapies, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems, insulin pumps, and other endocrine-related therapies
- Interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic testing related to endocrine and metabolic disorders
- Provide patient and family education regarding disease management, nutrition, preventive care, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence
Collaboration & Program Development
- Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care
- Supervise, support, and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
- Support diabetes and cardiometabolic population health initiatives
- Participate in quality improvement activities and clinical program development
- Collaborate with clinical leadership on the development and implementation of clinical protocols and quality standards
- Contribute to the development of workflows, best practices, and care delivery processes related to endocrinology and diabetes care
Qualifications
Required
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
- Completion of an accredited fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
- Active and unrestricted New York State medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment
- DEA registration and controlled substance certification as required
- Current BLS certification
Preferred
- ACLS certification
- 4-6 years of post-training experience
- Experience managing complex diabetes care, including insulin therapy, CGM systems, insulin pumps, and diabetes technologies
- Experience working in community health, ambulatory care, or FQHC settings
- Experience serving diverse and underserved patient populations
