Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sonographer to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Operate and maintain diverse ultrasound equipment, including 2D and 3D imaging systems, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis
- Perform specialized ultrasound examinations such as prenatal, gynecological, breast, abdominal, vascular, and echocardiography procedures with precision and care
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and provide detailed reports using Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR)
- Ensure strict adherence to aseptic techniques and patient safety protocols during all procedures
- Educate patients about the ultrasound process, addressing questions related to anatomy, physiology, and the purpose of each exam to foster comfort and understanding
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, equipment calibration, and patient interactions in compliance with healthcare standards
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and participate in ongoing training to enhance skills in women's health diagnostics, vascular technology diagnostics, and other specialized areas
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sonographer with proficiency in obstetric/gynecological ultrasound, breast ultrasound, vascular ultrasound imaging, and echocardiography techniques
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology relevant to women's health and diagnostic radiology
- Demonstrated ability to operate complex medical imaging equipment effectively and safely
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping and reporting
- Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
- Certification or licensure as required by local regulations for sonography practice
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and patient care standards
