Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces including floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques.
- Conduct floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, polishing, and refinishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance.
- Handle chemical agents safely, including mixing, applying floor cleaning chemicals and floor care products in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Use specialized cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, vacuums, carpet cleaners, and floor polishers to achieve optimal results.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving cleaning supplies or equipment while adhering to manual handling safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness of all tools and supplies; ensure proper storage and inventory management of janitorial supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive attitude on-site.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial procedures.
- Skilled in floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, floor refinishing, and carpet cleaning techniques.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and responsibly; familiarity with environmental services standards is a plus.
- Strong manual handling skills for lifting heavy equipment or supplies efficiently without risking injury.
- Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and carpet extractors.
- Excellent attention to detail ensuring high-quality cleanliness standards are consistently met.
- Good communication skills coupled with a friendly customer service approach to interact effectively with clients and team members.
