Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 - 4:30 pm PST
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chemical Technician with Logistics experience to support gas, chemical, and slurry equipment operations and inventory management at a semiconductor manufacturing facility in Fremont, CA.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with gas or chemical systems used in wafer fabrication, strong knowledge of inventory and material handling processes, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. The candidate must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and capable of working with hazardous gases, chemicals, cylinders, and ampoules in accordance with established safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Support and lead technical activities involving gas, chemical, and slurry distribution equipment.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for a large fleet of gas and chemical distribution equipment from various manufacturers and vendors.
- Support the installation, decommissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of gas and chemical delivery systems.
- Work with systems including Company Electronics Gas Systems, Applied Energy Systems (AES), Fuji liquid delivery systems, Air Liquide gas systems, and chemical delivery systems.
- Perform cylinder, drum, and ampoule changes on gas and chemical systems.
- Conduct complex troubleshooting and resolve equipment and operational issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance and support sustaining operations and improvement projects.
- Follow all operating and maintenance procedures and ensure equipment is operated safely and reliably.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with industrial gases, chemicals, or chemical delivery systems.
- Knowledge of gas or chemical applications within semiconductor/wafer fabrication environments.
- Experience with inventory management, logistics, material handling, or warehouse operations.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and emergency response involving gases and chemicals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including inventory tracking, data entry, reporting, and basic data analysis.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow technical operating and maintenance procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
