Farba House of Beauty is a busy high- end salon in Grand Rapids specializing in advanced color techniques, lived-in color, air touch and IBE extensions. We are looking for a Salon Assistant to work closely with the salon owner and lead stylist.

Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in at the front desk using salon management software such as Vagaro/Phorest
- Assisting the lead stylist Olena during client services.
- Helping with foils, extensions preparation, and styling assistance.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all workstations.
- Assist with retail sales by upselling hair care products, retail math calculations, and promoting salon services to clients.
- Help manage appointment scheduling, client flow, and store management tasks to keep the salon organized and efficient.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, offering product recommendations, and ensuring a positive salon experience.
- Mentor new team members on salon procedures, sanitation practices, and customer interaction techniques.
We are looking for someone who
- Is passionate about hair and beauty industry
- Is professional, organized, and reliable.
- Have communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Is eager to learn and grow quickly.
- Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for upselling products and services.
- Experience or interest in hair extensions, hair color, eyelash extensions, makeup application, or hair waxing is a plus but not required—training will be provided.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
