Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) across commercial and industrial sites.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts and system configurations.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and determine appropriate solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and safety procedures related to electrical systems.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely while managing complex projects involving renovation or new construction.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment effectively to complete installation and maintenance tasks efficiently.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to coordinate electrical work with framing carpentry, schematics interpretation, and other trades as needed.
Requirements
- Valid journeyman electrician license with proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical work.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage wiring, high voltage applications, and electrical blueprint reading.
- Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrician practices.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards and local electrical codes to ensure safe installation practices.
- Strong diagnostic skills utilizing electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Experience working on construction sites involving renovation or new builds; ability to read schematics accurately.
- Knowledge of high-voltage electrical wiring procedures combined with safety procedures for working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Ability to perform high-voltage work safely while adhering to all safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, power drills, conduit benders, and other essential equipment for electrical installations.
- Additional handyman skills such as frame carpentry or general construction experience are a plus for versatile project support.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
