Position Title: Jr. Shipping Specialist

PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
The purpose of this position is to route all foreign and domestic shipments in accordance with instructions, completing all required shipping documents and bills of lading. Research and rectify all delivery problems and/or questions. Fills all customer supply orders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Ensures proper labeling and package weight.
o Completes/files required forms and bills of lading. Release packages for shipment.
o Completes packing list for all customer supply orders to be shipped.
o Traces, researches, and resolves all misrouted shipments, shipping issues, and questions.
o Has knowledge of and maintains the UPS and FedEx manifest systems.
o Processes all required end-of-day shipping reports.
o All other duties as assigned by supervisory and/or management personnel.
o Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
o Complies with all established company safety policies and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
o High School Diploma or equivalent
o Basic math skills
o Detail oriented
o UPS and FedEx shipping experience required.
o Ability to communicate effectively with employees
o Ability to drive results with minimal direction
o Multi-talented skill set and capable of making little or no errors in work duties
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
o Standing for long periods of time, twisting, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
o Demonstrated ability to work with hands.
o Must be able to work under pressure.
o Exposure to dirt, dust & noise.
o May be exposed to extreme temperature conditions & restricted ventilation.
o Ability to work various shifts and/or overtime is required.
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
