MRI Technologist
Location: Elmhurst, NY
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Hours: 35 Hours/Week

- Night Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- Alternating weekends and holidays required
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join a fast-paced acute care healthcare facility in Elmhurst, NY. The ideal candidate will have experience performing MRI procedures in an acute care setting, be knowledgeable with GE MRI equipment, and be committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Schedule
- 35 hours per week
- Shift: 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- Alternating weekends and holidays required
- Training: 2 weeks, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, including EPIC training
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations following physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Operate GE MRI equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare and position patients for MRI procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation.
- Follow all MRI safety, infection control, and quality assurance guidelines.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 1 year of MRI Technologist experience in an acute care setting (required).
- Experience with GE MRI equipment (required).
- Associate's degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current certification and registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging through:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or
- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Valid New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Radiologic Technologist License.
- Strong communication and patient care skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
Additional Information
- Training is mandatory for the first 2 weeks (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM), including EPIC training.
Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
