About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant with some prior office or bookkeeping experience. This role combines general administrative support with basic QuickBooks data entry.
QuickBooks expertise is not required, but candidates should be comfortable entering financial data and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative
- Manage email communications and general office operations
- Maintain organized records and filing systems
- Assist with scheduling and internal coordination
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and greet visitors
- Conduct internet research and support daily operations
Bookkeeping
- Enter income and expense transactions in QuickBooks
- Maintain accurate financial records
- Assist with basic bookkeeping and reporting for board meetings
Qualifications
- Some administrative and/or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Basic QuickBooks knowledge (data entry level)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills
Work Environment
- Part-time (minimum 20 hours per week)
- Flexible schedule
- Position begins in-person; hybrid work may be available after training and once familiar with office procedures
- Small, team-oriented nonprofit environment.
- Business casual office setting
