Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. This role combines essential clinical support with front desk administrative duties, ensuring a seamless patient experience from appointment scheduling to treatment. Duties
- Prepare and review medical and dental documentation for accuracy and completeness, including care plans and treatment notes.
- Handle multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries and redirecting calls as needed.
- Maintain accurate dental records and manage filing of medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist the dental team when needed; seating patients, cleaning rooms, switching out laundry and helping with sterile.
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify insurance coverage, and assist with patient intake processessterilizing instruments and preparing treatment areas and stay organized and able to multitask without becoming overwhelmed.
- Extensive experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in medical billing, coding (CPT, ICD-9/10), and documentation review to ensure accurate claims processing.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical terminology relevant to clinical procedures and patient care.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes for Medicare and private insurers, and understanding of ICD coding standards.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively serve diverse patient populations

- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly under HIPAA guidelines.
- Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred; familiarity with office management tasks such as filing, scheduling, and health information management is a plus.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour
