Position Summary:
The Internal Expeditor will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations by ensuring the timely progression of helicopter spare parts through all internal processes. This position is responsible for coordinating and expediting parts, materials, and services within the manufacturing environment to meet production schedules and delivery deadlines.
The ideal candidate will focus on manufacturing workflows, actively collaborating with departments such as Planning, Assembly, Inspection, and Shipping to prioritize tasks and resolve delays. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience in a manufacturing setting are essential for success in this role.
The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track customer order commitments and job status through inspection and assembly to ensure adherence to production schedules and ship dates.
- Actively follow up with internal departments (Planning, Assembly, Inspection, Purchasing, and Shipping) to prioritize processing and resolve issues impacting delivery.
- Expedite parts, materials, and outside services as needed to support production requirements.
- Communicate status updates clearly and professionally to management and internal stakeholders.
- Update the ERP system with accurate and timely job status and notes.
- Assist in identifying recurring delays or process issues and recommend improvements.
- Support production meetings or priority reviews as required.
Qualifications
- MUST have 2–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production control, expediting, or materials-related role.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with limited supervision after training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365; ERP system experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a shop-floor environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment assessments, drug screening, and background checks.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with overtime as needed.
Compensation:
- Starting salary: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
