Walworth Animal Hospital is seeking a full or part time licensed Veterinary Technician for our small animal practice,
Our hours of operation are: 7:30am-7:00pm M-W, 7:30am-6:00pm Th-F. We are not open on the weekends or major holidays.

Clinical Services
We offer complete medical and surgical services including:
- Annual exams, preventive health care, vaccinations, heartworm testing, control of intestinal parasites, and geriatric or “senior” screening are just a few of the ongoing health care services we provide.
- Diagnostic testing: In-house or sample sent to laboratory
- Digital radiology studies are performed, along with in house ultrasonography.
- Dental prophylaxis, with digital dental radiography (1-2 dentals per weekday).
- Fully equipped surgical suite
Position Title: Veterinary Technician
Supervisor: Practice Manager, Managing Veterinarian
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow the practice policies described in the hospital manual
- Follow OSHEA regulations
- Appropriate customer service
- Anesthetic monitoring
- General pharmaceutical knowledge
- Able to advise and understand general vaccination and health wellness protocols
- Radiology/Positioning /Acquisition Skills
- Dentistry/Prophylactic Skills
- Phlebotomy
- Lab testing, reporting and proper use of laboratory equipment
- Be able to convey DVM instruction and overall recommendations to clients
- Keep a clean and neat work environment
- Be able to physically lift 50lbs or more
- Be able to handle emotional/stressful situations with patients/clients/staff in a professional manner
- Navigate and use the practice management software efficiently
Minimum Requirements:·
- Have a valid/up to date license
- Professional and positive attitude
- Basic computer skills (we use Impromed and Petdesk)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
