Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Closet and Cabinet Installation Sub-Contractor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for expertly installing custom closets, cabinets, and related millwork in residential and commercial spaces. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation of closets, cabinets, and fixtures
- Measure spaces accurately and cut materials using hand tools and power tools to fit designated areas precisely
- Install cabinetry, shelving, doors, trim, molding, and other millwork components with attention to detail
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project scope, materials needed, and time requirements
- Ensure all installations meet safety standards by adhering to power tool safety protocols and construction site safety guidelines
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure specifications are met while maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to prevent injury or damage during installation processes
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and communicate progress effectively throughout each project
Experience
- Proven experience in CLOSET/FRAMELESS installation (cabinetry experience is a plus), trim carpentry, framing carpentry, or related construction fields with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Familiarity with interpreting construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to assess project scope efficiently
- Prior experience working on residential or commercial renovation projects within the restoration industry is highly desirable
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to power tool operation and construction site practices
