Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for providing exceptional customer service and have experience in the food industry. As a Server, you will be responsible for ensuring that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by delivering high-quality service and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing excellent guest services from the moment they arrive.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience through upselling techniques.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards.
- Manage multiple tables efficiently while demonstrating strong time management skills.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including basic math for processing payments.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Support host/host duties as needed, ensuring that all guests feel welcomed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or fine dining setting is preferred, with knowledge of food service operations.
- Familiarity with OpenTable for reservations is a plus.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is beneficial for understanding menu items and preparation methods.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to food safety regulations.
