1. Support educational lab courses in CSC, including management of equipment, supplies, and chemical and biological media. Adhere to the highest laboratory safety standards and implement best practices.
2. Oversight of upper-level laboratory courses held in CSC. Preparation of class needs, materials, communication with professors, run support for CHEM 5710, CHEM 5730, CHEM 5750, BIO 3525.
3. Support laboratory spaces for the Science Research Initiative in the Crocker Science Center.
4. Secondary support, redundancy, for the College of Science Laboratory Internship Team.
5. This person will report to the Laboratory Manager in the College of Science and will be expected to align goals and work environments with best practices on campus.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Laboratory Technician, II
Perform laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses. Prepare and weigh samples for testing and analysis. Conduct tests, assays, and other protocols under the direction of a laboratory services manager, physician, nurse, or scientist. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs). Ensure all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean, sterile, and in proper working order. May be responsible for calibration of instruments. Mid-level support role. Completes routine tasks under moderate supervision.
Requires at least 1 year of related experience.
This is an Intermediate Level position in the Support track.
