The QA/QC Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation and execution of the project's Quality Assurance and Quality Control program. This position ensures that all electrical and instrumentation installations are completed in accordance with project specifications, engineering drawings, applicable codes, client requirements, and Bayou Electrical Services' quality standards.
The QA/QC Specialist works closely with field supervision, project management, clients, and inspectors to verify quality throughout all phases of construction while maintaining accurate documentation and facilitating inspections.

Perform field quality inspections on electrical and instrumentation installations.

Verify installations comply with project drawings, specifications, IFC documents, and applicable codes.

Control panels

Electrical equipment

Grounding systems

Supports and mounting

Monitor workmanship to ensure compliance with company and client quality standards.

Assist with developing and maintaining Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).

Coordinate required client inspections and witness points.

Prepare inspection reports and maintain daily quality documentation.

Track deficiencies and maintain punch lists.
-
Verify corrective actions have been completed prior to closing punch items.

Maintain quality turnover documentation for project closeout.
-
Review red-line drawings and verify field changes are properly documented.

Coordinate with engineering, project management, construction supervision, and client representatives regarding quality issues.

Participate in project walkdowns and mechanical completion activities.

Maintain document control for quality records.
-
Support audits conducted by clients or third-party inspectors.

Assist in developing lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

Promote a culture of quality and accountability throughout the project.

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical and instrumentation construction experience.

Minimum 2 years of QA/QC experience preferred.

Strong understanding of industrial electrical and instrumentation installation practices.

Previous experience on refinery, petrochemical, pipeline, LNG, midstream, or compressor station projects.

Experience using Bluebeam, Procore, or similar construction software.

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.

NCCER Certification (preferred).

Instrumentation or Electrical Journeyman experience preferred.

This position is primarily field-based on active industrial construction projects, including refineries, petrochemical facilities, compressor stations, terminals, LNG facilities, and other industrial sites. The QA/QC Specialist will regularly interact with project management, field supervision, client representatives, and third-party inspectors.
