Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Die Setter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, setting up, and operating various metal forming and machining equipment to produce high-quality components according to technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with precision measurement tools, and a commitment to safety standards. Essential Responsibilities
- Set up and prepare metal stamping machines for production runs.
- Start up and shut down machines safely and efficiently.
- Change material coils and ensure proper material feeding.
- Set up, troubleshoot, and repair Bihler, Finzer, Lens, BMS, Spako, and Ing Yu machines.
- Change tooling, set feeders, and replace machine modules as needed.
- Troubleshoot and clear machine jams to minimize downtime.
- Regrind and maintain dies and tooling to ensure proper machine performance and product quality.
- Pull and organize tooling from Lean Lift storage systems.
- Operate overhead cranes safely to move tooling, materials, and equipment.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including requirements outlined in the ICM Master Manual, process manuals, and product safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Die Setter in a metal stamping manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, prints, and engineering specifications.
- Strong understanding of metal stamping equipment, dies, tooling, and feeders.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
