Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing a friendly first impression.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation.
- Engage with guests to enhance their experience through personalized service, upselling menu items, and recommending specials via OpenTable or direct suggestions.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering duties, processing payments accurately, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables efficiently, resetting dining areas quickly, and adhering to sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting food handling and food safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven restaurant experience or food service background with a strong understanding of guest relations and customer service excellence.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation enhances your ability to assist guests effectively.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales while providing genuine recommendations.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with guests, team members, and management seamlessly.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures in the food industry.
