Responsibilities
Program and operate one or more fabricating machines to perform operations such as drilling, reaming, tapping, countersinking, punching, and other machining tasks within documented abilities.
Read and execute job specifications accurately.
Perform minor adjustments to machines as needed.
Inspect completed work and rework piece part defects when required.
Inspection and Finishing
Deburr parts to meet quality and inspection requirements.
Sand parts as needed to meet specified quality standards.
Wash parts according to job specifications.
Documentation and Recordkeeping
Machine Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and applying grease/oil to machines.
Programming and Setup
- Program and set up standard operations for 2-, 3-, 4-, and multi-axis machines.
Corrective Action
Material Preparation
- Prepare stock material for jobs in accordance with production needs.
Workplace Organization (5S Activities)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in immediate and support work areas (e.g., saws, non-CNC machines).
Training Responsibilities
- Serve as a ‘Master’ trainer in areas identified by the Training Matrix, providing support and mentorship to other team members.
