Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and enjoyably. This position requires excellent communication skills and a passion for food service, as you will be the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist servers by providing support during busy periods, including bussing tables and prepping you station
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and address any special requests or dietary restrictions.
- Familiarize yourself with the menu items to answer guest inquiries confidently.
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to ensure a safe dining experience for all guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with team members and guests.
- A background in culinary arts or food service can be beneficial but is not mandatory.
- Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
